Why should you send your book for review?
Reviewed books receive free advertising on this site in lots of highly visible places. :-) Reviewed books have a higher than average chance of becoming the top recommendation on this website. But there are a few things to keep in mind about my (Terescia's) reviews...
How Terescia Approaches Reviews
I make every effort to review any books I receive, but that doesn't always happen. I read primarily for enjoyment, and if a book doesn't hold my interest, I might not finish it. I rarely finish a book that I'm not enjoying, and that's one reason you won't find many negative reviews by me on this site.
I prefer stories that aren't too dark and gritty. Although I like the occasional gory story, I much prefer to read books where the emphasis is on the mystery or plot elements. I'm a fan of Dean Koontz, Sue Grafton, Amanda Quick, and others...
If you do send a book and a review doesn't appear on the site, please don't assume I hated your book. It's possible I've been busy and just haven't found the time to read the book you sent, or simply that I'm waiting until I have more interest in the particular subject matter your book covers.
If you plan to send a book to me, please contact me first so I know to expect it and so that I can let you know when I receive it.
I can and will return unreviewed books if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope that is large enough for your book.
I only review books I've read to the end. So yes, if I've reviewed your book, I guarantee I've read your book. And maybe I didn't get it. That's the way it goes sometimes. I'm happy to fix typos and errors, but other complaints will probably be ignored.
The fact is, I want to have books to recommend here. So if there's something good to say about your book, I'll definitely say it!

How Heather Approaches Reviews
My approach to reviews is a little more simply put, I guess. I really enjoy crime fiction books. And if you throw in a bit of mystery and I'm a huge fan. Some of the best books I've read have been by John Grisham. I like the tad bit of mystery entwined with the crime he uses in his novels.
I also enjoy the types of books like those written by Charlaine Harris. She has a way of using the unnatural elements with the mystery to make a novel interesting and irresistable. I am a huge fan of paranormal and science fiction, so if you think I'll enjoy your book (and you've read Terescia's approach above for details on complaints and returning the book) I'd love for you to send it along!
