J.A. Konrath’s Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Daniels series moves publishers…

After Hyperion published the past six mystery novels in J.A. Konrath’s ever popular Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels series, the author switches over to Amazon’s publishing imprint, AmazonEncore.   For more on the whys you can read an article at Publishers Weekly but the gist is this:

Why not publish with a company that can essentially guarantee sales?   Amazon has the ability to keep massive databases with information on all the books you buy.   So when a book by a popular author comes out through their new publishing company, they can contact all of those people and basically offer you a great free source of advertisement.   You couldn’t ask for more, right?

Interesting but even with the lower price of some Kindle books, authors can essentially make more money with their venture.

Some of Konrath’s books about the Chicago cop, include Whiskey Sour, Bloody Mary, Rusty Nail, Dirty Martini, Fuzzy Navel, and Cherry Bomb.   Find more J.A. Konrath books at Amazon.
